Board reporting relied heavily on manual preparation, interpretation and narrative drafting, requiring significant senior staff time and creating pressure around consistency, version control and reporting deadlines.
The organisation wanted to explore how AI could reduce this workload without compromising data protection, governance or executive accountability.
The challenge was therefore not simply to introduce AI, but to redesign the reporting workflow so AI could support faster, more consistent preparation while keeping human judgement, validation and accountability firmly in place.
